God Promises and Hastens to Perform

PREMISE #13

Some premises are briefly stated, simply comprehended and quickly learnt on how to activate the promises of God. Until a person is fully convinced that, without any caveats or riders, God wants us well, that person cannot activate true faith in order to receive healing. This is a biblical truth. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. This means Faith is clear and concise. Faith sees in concrete terms those things that are hoped for and are yet unseen. Until that certainty enters a persons soul there are questions, queries, quandaries and doubts about the issue at hand.  While there is doubt, strong robust faith that moves on the certainty of God’s word cannot live in the heart. Until that kind of faith fills the heart and is exercised with no wobbles or doubts a person could possibly never be healed.

“Let them ask in faith without any wavering. Those that waver are like the waves of the sea that are driven and tossed by whatever way the wind is blowing. Do not let those who waver in that way think that they shall receive anything of the Lord” (James 1:6-7 my own translation).  Now that is a slap on the face to the wishy washy approach of “If it be your will Lord!” It is when people are fully convinced that it is God’s will and intention that they should not be sick that breakthroughs take place.

Having one’s feet firmly planted on that rock of truth, that it is the absolute will of God for us all to enjoy good health, and for Him to be your Healer, one is ready to fight the good fight of faith for healing for themselves or whoever else they are praying for.

“God is not a man, that He should lie; neither is he a son of man that he should have to repent. Has He ever said anything and will He not perform it? Has He not uttered something and shall not make it good and exactly as He said it?  (Numbers 23:19). Old F.F. Bosworth in His book, “Christ the Healer” says, “Do not ever doubt God. If you must doubt something, doubt your doubts because they are unreliable. Never doubt God, nor His word.”

Satan is a liar. Jesus called Him the Father of lies. He started his hideous campaign against human wholeness with the question, “Has God said?” He has continued in the same vein ever since. “Has God really promised to heal you? Can you really depend on Him?” The answer is a firm emphatic “Yes!” to both questions.

It is God’s will for every individual to be well and strong. When His word is understood and believed, and faith is actively exercised to receive the promises healing will come.

If some people are promised healing, and some are not you are inferring that God is a respecter of persons, and that is a tale that Acts 10:34 flatly contradicts.

PROMISE  #13

Jeremiah 1:12 says, “I will watch over and hasten my word to perform it.” The Hebrew literally means “I will stand behind, support, protect and look after the words I have spoken and I will make it an absolute surety that what I have said will happen exactly as I have spoken it.” This means that God’s infinite power, knowledge and grace, is standing behind His promises to accomplish them. Could it be made any simpler.

Christians need never be sick, any more than they need to be sinful. God wants you whole. He has declared “I am Yahweh Rapha” your Healer. The Bible says that “He has sent His word and healed them”  It says, “Bless the Lord O my soul, forgives all your iniquities and who heals all your diseases” My friend He is standing behind those words and He is hastening to perform them. Are you ready to receive?

One man in the Bible asked Jesus if it was His will to heal Him (Mark 1:40). He came because as all lepers experienced in his time, the rejection and the stoning to keep them away from being near to people had chronically removed the credibility he had before the onslaught of his disease.  Jesus demolished his uncertainty by giving him and unquestionable violently direct answer. “I will!” is what the Saviour said. Then He touched him and made him whole.

In James 5:14 the writer didn’t say, “Are there a few of you who are sick?” He did not say, “If there are any special ones amongst you who are sick.” He asked, “Is there any of you who are sick?” Surely that means you. Even in the Old Testament, when Moses hoisted up the brazen serpent on a pole as many as looked to it lived. There was no other qualification to stay alive –just to look as a brass snake fixed on the top of a pole. The good, the bad, the rich, the poor, the sane and the insane, the worthy and the unworthy. The issue was; Did you look at the snake on the pole? Rest assured that God stands over His word to perform it. That is His promise.
